Welcome from the Conference Chair
It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the
27th conference of the Aviation Law
Association of Australia and New Zealand.
The ALAANZ conference is the leading conference on
legal issues affecting the aviation industry in Australasia,
New Zealand and South West Pacific. Now in it’s 27th
year, the 2008 conference will review the issues facing
an industry undergoing rapid growth and significant
challenges.
Predictions on what the future holds for
the aviation industry are fraught with environmental
uncertainty yet the industry is experiencing extraordinary
levels of financial and legal commitments in the form of
aircraft manufacture, orders and sales.
Internationally distinguished aviation and legal
professionals will speak on the issues that influence the
future direction of the industry.
The conference venue, the Hotel InterContinental Sydney,
distinguished by the 1851 Treasury Building’s sandstone façade, a National Trust landmark, the hotel overlooks Sydney Opera House and the Royal Botanic Gardens.
I am sure all delegates will have a memorable
conference and I look forward to seeing
you there.
